Athens Reproductive Justice Collective

Welcome! The Athens Reproductive Justice Collective is an Athens-based collective that strives to uphold the tenets of reproductive justice as defined by SisterSong: the right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, the right to have children, the right to not have children, and the ability to parent those children in safe and sustainable communities. Through advocacy, education, and policy, we aim to address the specific reproductive justice needs of Athens, Georgia.

Our Initiatives

We have set up a local reproductive justice fund to alleviate the financial burden associated with seeking an abortion! Your donation will support transportation to clinics, including paying for Uber or gas money, lodging, childcare, and other costs that may be incurred when seeking services. To donate, please venmo @athensrjcollective! Or use our GoFundMe link:

To request funding, please email with the subject “Funding Request”.

Additionally, we hope to build a ride-sharing program for nearby clinics through a network of practical support volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering your time as a driver, please fill out this form:

We will be hosting educational events every two months discussing a variety of important reproductive justice issues and guest speakers. Our events include a presentation, Q&A, and group discussion. Previous events have been about crisis pregnancy centers, racial justice, and immigration justice and their intersections with reproductive justice. To register for our next educational event, please fill out this form:

We are working to establish an Athens Reproductive Justice Commission at the county-level to address our policy concerns at a local level. This commission will be comprised of healthcare providers, experts, advocates, and concerned stakeholders. We will be modeling this commission after the Atlanta Reproductive Justice Commission. We are currently in the needs-assessment phase. Please fill out this survey to share your thoughts:

If you are interested in helping us phonebank to disseminate the survey, please fill out this form:
